As promised here is my post documenting my latest trip to the big smoke! I left on Wednesday early morning with my friend and we flew back Friday night. This was my second trip to London and I really felt that I had earned a quick break away from the daily routine.
We managed to cram lots into our trip provided we were only there for 2 1/2 days. Starting with food was our main priority and for that we headed to Covent Garden’s Shake Shack. I had been stalking their Instagram page a few weeks before and the food did not disappoint. After we mooched around the shops making a cheeky couple of purchases from MAC *post in the works*.
I love Oxford Circus and so we made a trip there, it really is the heart of London and has such a great buzz of atmosphere about it. I’d recommend if your with a friend going down to the Photobooth in Topshop its great fun as well as making a visit to Ben’s Cookies.
Being a History student I love visiting museums and so on our first day we went to the Imperial War Museum my favourite one from last August. I could honestly spend a full day in there on its own I find war history so interesting and there is lots of interactive boards etc. On the Thursday we visited the Natural History Museum which was also very interesting and the architecture of the building is stunning!
Possibly the best highlight of the trip was going to see Les Mis at the Queens Theatre at Staftesbury Avenue and we had front row seats! The performance was out of this world from the orchestra playing the songs to the actors and amazing set it truly was a night I’ll never forget! Quickly before we left we took a few snaps at Westminster seeing Iconic Big Ben was a must as well as London Bridge. Another fab experience was posing with the trolley from Harry Potter at Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross Station! My friend has my snap of this so I will insert it once she sends me it.
I hope you enjoyed this post, I truly had a ball in London, leave me a comment below and if your new please follow it means a lot! 🙂
