Hi Everyone! I’ve had the most magical of days today through in Edinburgh at the Christmas markets. Edinburgh is a 50 minute train journey from Glasgow so I’m lucky in that it isn’t the furthest of journeys to be in the capital.
I went with one of my friends from uni and we tried to cram everything festive into the one day. We started by having lunch * and the longest of catch ups* before window shopping on Princes Street. We then went to the National Gallery to see the Goldfinch exhibition.
Edinburgh’s Christmas market I believe is the biggest in the UK. It covers everything you could think of from crepes to waffles, mulled wine to hot chocolate and all kinds of arts and crafts. We both opted for candy floss that ended up being bigger than our heads. Edinburgh also has what’s known as ‘Santa Land’ with lots of fair ground amusements including a maze which we unfortunately didn’t get round to seeing!
I hope you enjoyed reading this post, I wish the pictures could do the day justice but I was having such a fun time in the moment that I didn’t get as many as I would have liked. Be sure to be following my blog and leave me a comment below!
