( I love these cute cards from Paperchase)
Hi Everyone! I hope you are all well. I’ll be honest, I don’t really know where I intend to go with this blog post but after quite a challenging week (in a good way) I’ve been thinking about self confidence and sometimes in my case my lack of it.
After a summer of complete zen its been a bit of a shock to my system to suddenly go straight into all things work ( starting my masters and having job interviews in the same day). As much as I’m excited to get fully immersed in my masters I can’t help but feel nervous and wonder if I’ll be able to manage the workload (especially if I get a Christmas job!) But as much as I’m nervous about this new chapter I’m adamant that I want to push myself out of my comfort zone and get back into the swing of working v hard again.
( Lush baths are my go to way to de stress)
I think its normal to be apprehensive about new changes and challenges in life but I don’t want to be held back by these anxieties. Its important to validate yourself and look at how far you’ve come already, in my case, I got my honours history degree despite facing many challenges especially during my final year but I got it and did bloody well. This year I’m going to tell myself ‘I can do this’ rather than ‘what if this happens and I fail’. At the end of the day in life you’ve got to be your own cheerleader.
So yeah, I’ve just basically word vomited my recent thoughts of wanting to be more confident and positive in taking on new challenges. I’m proud of all that I’ve achieved up till now and I’m excited to achieve my new goals.
I’d love to hear anyone’s thoughts on self confidence!
