With it being the first Monday of the New Year I thought what better an opportunity than to do a motivational blog post. I can’t say that there will be a motivational post every Monday but I aim to have one up once a month.
I’m going to put a lil disclaimer out there that I am by no means a gym bunny nor have ever been. My local gym is a good 45 min walk away and I don’t have disposable income that I personally would want to spend on a gym membership. However, I think its important to realise that going to the gym is not the only route to fitness, nor is working out until you are blue in the face and stinking of bo *gross*.
For 2016 I want to exercise more mainly by upping going on dog walks and not relying on another member of the family to do it for me. I also want to do some daily exercise *relatively gentle* from practicing some yoga to going on the exercise bike. I’m not going to get ‘ripped’ amazing abs nor a butt like Kim K but I think its more important to set realistic goals and to go at your own pace especially when it comes to exercise.
There are some amazing Yoga videos on Youtube such as Yoga by Adrienne which I’ll link here. Yoga is gentle exercise and therefore perfect for a carb lover such as myself. Its also good for your mental health and helps you to manage your breathing which is important at stressful times in life.
A goal that is forever in the works for me is to drink more water. I think the best way to achieve this is to have a bottle of water on your desk and even make a jug of water with lemon and ice to make it more appealing.
